Announcing the Results of the 2024 Changes Book Prize

With gratitude to all who submitted, the editors are delighted to announce the results of our third annual book prize, judged by Eileen Myles. We were amazed at the variety and caliber of the manuscripts we read and have decided to name one editors’  pick from this year’s competition alongside the judge’s selection. Both books will be published in 2025.

Judge’s selection

Ashley D. Escobar is a writer and filmmaker from San Francisco, residing in New York City. Her first poetry chapbook SOMETIMES came out with Invisible Hand Press in 2021. She is a fiction MFA candidate at Columbia University and the co-editor of Wind-up Mice. Her words have appeared in the Brooklyn Rail, the London Magazine, Hobart, and elsewhere.

P. E.A.C.E. by Chariot Wish

Editors’  pick

Chariot Wish is a poet living in New York. They are the chapbook editor for Wonder Books and co-edit the online journal Amygdala. They are the author of two chapbooks, A New Heaven and A New Earth (2021) and O Fantasma (2023).
