The Bergman Prize

The Bergman Prize awards $10,000 and publication to the author of a first or second collection of poetry. The prizewinner receives a generous publishing contract with national distribution, extensive advertising & publicity, a summer residency at Castello San Basilio (Southern Italy), and a spring book launch at McNally Jackson in New York City. The inaugural Bergman Prize was awarded in 2021 to Rachel Mannheimer for her manuscript EARTH ROOM , selected by judge Louise Glück. The book will be published by Changes in the spring of 2022. Click here to learn more about this year’s winner and finalists.
